Das Moebel Cafe

|
An antidote to some of the starchier Viennese affairs, Das Moebel is an informal spot to while away an hour or two. Dogs are welcome - always a good sign - and the bar is open till one in the morning. More than likely your neighbour will be an artist, as this cafe is actually a shop in cunning disguise. That's right, the chair you're sitting on is for sale, as is the table, the light-fittings and just about everything else that doesn't talk or bark. An informal showroom for young designers, Das Moebel has garnered fans both in Austria and abroad. But regardless of all the pioneering credentials, it's a perfect place to sink a bottle of beer. |
