There's still life in the old Gurtel yet, as proved by this new trick beneath the tracks. Get out at Alserstrasse (U6) for direct access to this slick, New York style venue. Inside, DJs lord it over the throng on a massively raised pedestal. Hip-hop, house and electro dominate the programme, but Sunday groovers may find live jazz on the menu as well. Perch yourself at the bar for some cocktail escapades, where peckish night owls can order a range of nibbles. Clubbers may have to pay a cover charge at weekends, making it not your cheapest night if you're planning on bar-hopping along the Gurtel.
