Iron Chancellor Prince Metternich once quipped that Asia began at the Landstrasse. But thanks to owner Wini Brugger's forays to eastern shores, an inspirational taste of the Orient has popped up just off the Graben. Herr Brugger cut his culinary teeth in Hong Kong, where he spent twelve years discovering the mysteries of Chinese cookery. He surely deserves a medal for bringing a dash of Asian panache to central Vienna, and judging by the flow of guests at Yohm, the locals seem to agree. The setting at the foot of the Peterskirche adds a further bonus - all in all well worth investigating.
