Regina Margherita

|
'I am the Emperor and I want dumplings!' Such was the single coherent command of the ill-starred Ferdinand I. And whilst we share his fondness for the trusty dumpling, we wouldn't demand that you eat them every day. In this respect, Regina Margherita is a handy port of call if you're hankering after a change of scene. The chefs here rustle up ravishing pizzas right in the heart of Vienna's Innere Stadt. Authenticity is key - owner Luigi Barbaro is a Neapolitan, and he's become something of a gastronomic Emperor himself in recent years, with a string of popular restaurants across town. This one's certainly worth a try - and the Esterhazy palace location will delight in Summer when tables stretch out into the courtyard. Recommended. |
