Schloss Concordia

|
'The Castle of Concorde' resembles the kind of lost manor houses that you can find in today's Lithuania. A stop here might be a bit out of the way, but not if your're heading for the Zentralfriedhof necropolis, which lies just opposite. The Schloss is the perfect spot for replenishing yourself after strolling around the cemetery, and their smiling staff dish up hearty Austrian fare at fantastically good prices. A 6 Euro lunch menu is usually on the cards, and when the weather's less welcoming, the columned interior oozes atmosphere. Vienna Life can't help wondering whether the spirits float over here in the dead of night for a cigar and a spot of billiards. We certainly would. |
