Word has got out that Universal pictures is about to catapult an unlikely Austrian to fame. That Austrian is Bruno, the outspoken fashionista with a penchant for tight trousers, American football jocks and 'schwanzenstucks.'
Universal has reportedly laid down 42.5 million dollars for the rights to a film with the Viennese star. The mohawked wonder had previously been known only through his 'Funkyzeit mit Bruno' show (Funkytime with Bruno), in which he interviewed the great and the good from the fashion and entertainment worlds.
Eyebrows were raised in Hollywood yesterday when news of the deal emerged. However, rumours have it that the a certain Britisher named Sacha Baron Cohen has something to do with the scheme.
Bruno himself was not available for comment yesterday. However, his agent told Vienna Life that the star is celebrating with a well-deserved holiday in Tahiti.
