Wien Westbahnhof

|
Naturally enough, Wien Westbahnhof is the key station for travellers heading west to Salzburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich and beyond. Unless you're carrying an elephant in your suitcase, getting here is simple enough. The Westbahnhof is complemented by its own U-Bahn station, which lies on both the orange U3 and the brown U6 lines. You can also jump on a tram to Europaplatz or take the S-Bahn train in from further out west. Alongside the Sudbahnhof, this ranks as one of the key Viennese stations. Trains leave Westbahnhof for as faraway destinations as France and Belgium. |
