Vienna Airport

Taxis seem pretty expensive if you just pick one up from the airport. Best to arrange one online in advance - at least 30 percent cheaper, I'd say. Airport itself is clean and functional.

If you need a car, I wouldn't trust anybody but Avis.

Wien Sudbahnhof

Short and inexpensive bus ride from Vienna Airport. Easy to find train and gate. Short walk to old Vienna shops, pubs, cafes, etc. Across street from Prinz Eugen Hotel. I'll miss it.

Hertz

No complaints here - we did a good run to Melk Abbey and later to Graz.
