A fictional Viennese magician recently swished onto the silver screen in Neil Burger's The Illusionist. And as it goes, the world of the magician is still alive in today's Vienna. There are about six clubs devoted to the conjurer's art, and if you want to try your own hand at some magical mischief, Zauberklingl has some zany knickknacks to check out. However, it's not all about waving wands and pulling rabbits out of hats. Children will have a jolly time with the gruesome masks, plastic stabber knives and juvenile jokes. All the same, study the labels closely and you'll see that not everything's suitable for little Tommy's Christmas stocking - Weingummi Willies and Bumpin' Bunnies are best left for older magicians... |
