Altmann & Kuhne

|
Altmann and Kuhne seems to have everything going for it. There's the enviable location on the Graben with its delightful shop-front, the exquisitely packaged miniature chocs, the tradition that stretches back some eighty years... But given that this is supposed to be a sweet shop, we can't help feeling that the fantasy is marred by the schoolmasterly signs that seem to pop out of every corner. "Do not do this... do not do that," they admonish us. And you feel that if you did accidentally cross the line, the staff policing the shop would send you straight to the Headmaster where you'd be promptly caned, Tom Brown style. |
