Das Moebel

|
Squirrelled away in the hip Spittelsberg district, Das Moebel will intrigue all fans of contemporary design. To the unsuspecting eye, this purple-painted venue looks little more than a laid back cafe. But once inside, you'll notice that virtually everything you see (besides the waitress) is discreetly tagged. Das Moebel acts as an informal showroom to up and coming designers, with chairs, tables and light-fittings all fair game. Much of the stuff exudes your sleek modernist style, but there's plenty of humour as well. On a recent visit we found light shades made from wigs and plastic bottles. |
