Josef Kober

|
Step off the Graben at No.14 and take the lift to the first floor. There you'll find one of Vienna's oldest toy shops - Josef Kober - which has been in business since 1868. Although the interior itself seems more stuck in the 1970's than the 1870's, any drabness in the decor is more than made up for by the goodies that are on display. Mr. Kober has a mind-spinning mix of vintage and 21st century knickknacks. On the trad side, you'll find Steiff teddy bears and little lead soldiers, whilst on a more modern front, brands such as Nintendo and Playmobile are well-represented. |
