The Sacher enjoyed its greatest fame during the era of the formidable Anna Sacher (1859-1930) a cigar-chomping legend who won over Europe's aristocracy. Her legions of pugs led a princely life, and she was in fact on intimate terms with many bona fide princes. This hotel is really incredible - and incredibly expensive as well! A great location for a romantic weekend. Leave the kids at home!
